ENVI-met>ENVI-Labs> Editor V4.0

ENVI-eddi 4.0

Along with the new 3D features, we need to re-build our editor from the bottom to support all the new features in an attractive and easy-to-use way.
There are too many new features that will come up in the new editor, so we will restrict ourselves here to some impressions.

Here, you see the interface of the editor as it is today. The 3D model is the Auswärtiges Amt (Federal Foreign Offices) of Germany in Berlin. It is composed out of very different materials with a significant emphasis on glass.

The editor will render the model based on your material settings (e.g. color and opacity) and allows you to edit the model in full 3D.

Select the desired material for the wall or the roff out of the database....

and just click of the facade element to assign it.

The editor still supports the old 2.5D format. If you don't need to define a building on such a detailed level, you can still work in the old modes as you have done with the prior versions of ENVi-met.
You can also mix very detailed buildings with more generalized surroundings if you are interested in the performance of a specific building while including the effects of the neighbourhood.
