An interesting article was published in the Journal of Environmental Engineering and Landscape Management: Influence of Planting Designs on Winter Thermal comfort in an Urban Park.
Although it uses the old ENVI-met V3.1, it has two striking points: For one, it focuses on the outdoor thermal comfort and the options we have for landscape architeture under cold weather conditions – in contrast to the 99% of studies that throw the spotlight on heat stress. For the second, it covers field studies and model designs done in and for Iran, which is a beautiful country but mainly disconnected from mainstream research.
We thank the authors for their good work and hope they carry on with it!
